Yemen is coming off a huge win against West Seneca Strikers in West Seneca 4 to 1. Yemen was in a scoring slump for the past few games and seem to find their groove against West Seneca. They will be facing the Amherst Raptors which is the sister team of Amherst Sharpshooters which both teams moved into the Championship division along with Yemen. The Raptors lost a close game against FC Yemen in the first round of the Tehel Cup with a score of 2-1. This seems to be the same story for them through the season, losing close games against quality teams. Yemen Elite will have to play the style of soccer as they did against West Seneca in order to get a win. They should not underestimate this team based on thier record in the division. Yemen is still suffering this season with key injuires to the offense, but they do have a deep roster with skilled players to fill in.
Yemen had a short morning practice to take time out to brush up on strategy.
Kick off is at 4PM @ ECC North. Come show your support, bring your friends and family along for what should be a great game. (6/24/2012)
