BDSL Gameday – Yemen Elite vs NS Alliance

The previous time these 2 teams met was on the first round of the Tehel Cup in 2012.  Yemen Elite won the game convincingly with a score of 5-1.  On that Day NS Alliance started with a man down but soon had a full squad with 1 bench.  Yemen started slow, but slowly picked up in the second half finishing with 3 goals.  NS Alliance were probably short due to the game being during the week.  NS Alliance can be a dangerous team with a full roster.  Yemen also played them during regular season play last year and the results close 6-2. Yemen has a lot to play for today.  They will have to have a win today and gain a lot of goals to assist in goal differential against higher seeded teams. Yemen has already clinched a playoff spot and are in 4th place.  I win today and a tie between Rush FC and Queenston, and Elite gains second place and first round bye as long as they win the last game of the season versus Wolfpack.    Yemen controls their destiny with a win. NS Alliance used to be a great team a few years back, but lack of attendance has really hampered their play.  NS Alliance might show up with just enough or might call in he reserves to play Elite, we won’t know until game time. NS Alliance is at the bottom of the division with only one win vs Buffalo Celtic, and the other losses were dismissal with few of the shutouts like 8-0,9-0, 3-0…etc NS Alliance is playing for pride with no chance at the playoffs.
