These 2 teams have history and maybe even bad blood that go way back. They have faced each other in the past and the matches were very tight. In the 2008 summer season it was back and forth which resulted in a tie, but in 2009 in the CAGE, Yemen was unable to win after having a 1 nothing lead going into the halftime, final score was 2-1, ROOS. Today’s game was a result of a reschedule that was requested by ROOS Captain/Coach/Manager Drew Maloney. The ROOS were in Virginia Beach last weekend attending a beach soccer tournament in which they won. They will try to carry over that success into the CAGE. Both teams have a tough week this week due to having 3 games in 4 Days. Yemen losing to Clarence in Clarence on Thursday’s Tehel Cup and the ROOS match against Lazio (has yet to be posted), both teams played against premier teams. Also both teams will face top divisional foes on Sunday. The weather will be hot and humid. All these conditions will play a big factor in today’s game. Yemen also has a few more setbacks to overcome with injuries and work schedules for certain players, Yemen will be down to 14 active players for today and will be without thier defensive player of the year Sadami Mohsen due to a red card. Returning to the lineup will be the commander in chief Mateo Escobar, his vocal direction was sorely missed in the Cup game, with him in the lineup this Yemen team should rebound and have a strong showing against a rabid ROOS team, who are determined to climb back into the playoff race. Yemen and ROOS sit 6 and 8 respectively in the division, so a win for either team will results in a catapult or a big drop within the division.
Oscar Myer will not be attending this game, but his cousin Drew Maloney will be. *Cue rimshot*
